Mythbusters endorse Darwin ’08
Skeptics love The Mythbusters. The TV show brings the ideas of science and skepticism into the homes of millions of people every week. Adam Savage is a regular at Randi’s The Amaz!ng Meetings, in fact.

So I was very pleased to see on last week’s episode of the show that Adam was wearing a t-shirt that had “Darwin ’08” emblazoned across the chest. These shirts were created (haha! get it? Created!) by the New York City Skeptics, and one was given to Adam at TAM 6.

I have to admit, I’d be worried if there wasn’t evidence of the sign of some intelligent design behind that shirt.

It’s probably a good thing that cable hasn’t got pout to all the rural parts of the US, I can just see a fundamentalist uprising calling for Mr. Savage’s head if they actually saw this show. Although, that would imply that actual science interested them, so I guess one can say Mr Savage is safe from them for now. :P
Phil, how can you know for sure where Adam got his shirt? Sounds like just a “theory,” and not a fact, as to its origins.
Any discussion of Adam’s shirt should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.

Teach the controversy!
Adam Savage is my idol. That’s all I have to say about this one.
That shirt is clear proof of intelligent design.
Expecting me to believe that it evolved on its own is equivalent to asking me to believe that a tornado blew through the debris field of a Mythbusters explosion and randomly assembled the shirt from the bits of junk.

Wait… Adam Savage… Adam Savage – where did I see that name recently? Oh, that’s right – it was on the back of some guy’s book. That Savage fella… he endorses good stuff, man.
Awesome shirt! I want one now!!! I know in an interview at TAM Adam said that he wanted to prove evolution on an episode of MythBusters. Did he ever figure out how to do that?
I want one. Just point me in the right direction.
